“Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will proclaim your praise.”

The Liturgy of the Hours, also known as the Divine Office or Breviary, is the daily prayer of the universal Church, with prayers dispersed at intervals throughout the day to sanctify time and work.

Daily practice of this liturgical prayer, which is steeped in the richness of Sacred Scripture, will give Christians authentic spiritual food, sanctify their days, and unite them more closely with the Church throughout the world.

Also known as Morning Prayer, Lauds is sung in the early morning hours to dedicate the day to God.
