Dear friends,
We would like to offer you our best wishes for the end of this Holy Week and the beginning of the Octave of Easter.
May your Triduum be reflective and solemn and happy, all at once. May your will be at rest with God’s will, as Jesus’ body was at rest, and may your joy be full even now, because the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11).
May God use our lives as evidence that, truly, Christ is Risen. Christos anestē! Alēthōs anestē! Christus resurrexit! Resurrexit vere!
P.S. While checking the Latin we ran into some beautiful words of Melito of Sardis:
It is I, says the Christ,
I am he who destroys death,
and triumphs over the enemy,
and crushes Hades,
and binds the strong man,
and bears humanity off to the heavenly heights.
